Fused Fiber and PLC Splitters
Optical splitter is the important component in passive optical networks (PON) for FTTH. The optical splitter is installed between the OLT (Optical line terminal) and the ONT (Optical network terminal). The fiber optical splitter is mainly used to split the power to be shared among the subscribers. It splits the fiber optic power to the required ratio in a PON FTTX.
FBT optical splitter and Planar Waveguide (PLC ) are available in connectorized / un connectorized in various packaging and modules as per the customer requirement . The growth of FTTH has increased the market demand for PLC optical splitter which has the advantages of bandwidth, stability, uniformity and compact size.
